As you may have heard, the blue light of electronic screens disrupts the body’s natural circadian rhythms by suppressing the production of melatonin, a sleep hormone.
Too much exposure to digital screens, especially before bed, can really mess with your sleep.
Melatonin might play a more significant role in our lives than just getting us to sleep on time, it’s also an antioxidant that scientists believe plays an important role in reducing the risk of cancer and other diseases.
Lucky for us, we have MIUI Read Mode, which changes the screen color to filter out the blue light, and make it a warmer shade of yellow. Similar to Apple’s iOS Night Shift.
To Enable Read Mode
Pull down the notification shade, and tap “Read Mode”
Customize Read Mode
Long press on the notification shade icon to bring up the customization menu.
