According to a report by Chinatopix, Xiaomi will be releasing a drone during their upcoming press conference on February 24 to announce the Mi 5.
The Mi Drone was originally scheduled to launch in 2015, but the project was delayed due to the similarities in design with DJI’s Phantom drone (pictured above).
According to the report, the Mi Drone will work along side the Mi Band, and it will follow users automatically who have the drone paired with their band.
The Mi Drone is rumored to have an on-board camera, and we think this is highly possible. It seems counterproductive to build a drone these days without a camera.
Based on the report, the launch price for the Mi Drone will be US$106 with a limited initial release of 10,000 units.
