Xiaomi has unveiled its first laptop the Mi Notebook Air. It is clear as light that Xiaomi is targeting to compete with Apple MacBook Air.

Mi Notebook Air comes in two size 13.3-inch and 12.5-inch while MacBook Air also comes in two size 11.6-inch and 13.3-inch.


Mi Notebook Air 13.3-inch version carries dual core i5 CPU (up to 2.7GHz) processor and 12.5-inch carries Intel Core M3 processor. On the other hand both MacBook Air comes with dual core 1.6GHz dual-core Intel Core i5 (up to 2.7GHz) processor.

Display and Resolution:

Both versions of Mi Notebook comes with 1080p (1920 by 1080) while MacBook Air 11.6-inch version comes with 1366 by 768 and the 13-inch version comes with 1440 by 900.


The 13-inch version of Mi Notebook Air is equipped with GeForce 940MX and 12.5-inch version is equipped with integrated Intel HD graphics 6000. While both version of MacBook pro equipped with Intel HD graphics 6000.

Ram and Storage:

The Xiaomi Mi Notebook Air (13.3-inch model) features 256GB SSD and 8GB of RAM and the 12.5-inch version features 128GB SSD storage along with 4GB of RAM. MacBook Air 13.3-inch offers 128/256/512 SSD along with 8GB of RAM and 11.6-inch offers 128/256/512 SSD along with 4/8GB of RAM.

The Mi Notebook is thinner and lighter than MacBook. The Mi Notebook Air 12.5 weighs 1.07KG and it is 12.9mm thin and 13.3-inch weighs 1.28KG and it is 15.8mm thin. On the other hand MacBook Air 13.3.-inch weighs 1.35 kg and 11.6-inch weighs 1.35KG. Both MacBook version is 17mm thin.

Battery Life:

The Mi Notebook 13.3-inch model provides backup for 9.5 hours and 12.5 provides backup for 11.5 hours while MacBook Air 13.3-inch model provide backup for 12 hours and 11.6-inch provide backup for 9 hours.

The Mi Notebook Air costs around $750 (13.3-inch) and $525 (12.5-inch0 while MacBook 11.6-inch will cost you $899 (128GB of storage), $1099 (256GB of storage) and 13.3-inch version will cost you $999 for 128GB of storage and $1199 for 256GB.
