Android Nougat based CM14 ROM is available for Xiaomi Redmi 1S. A Chinese forum member xiaobai112220 releases the ROM in MIUI china forum for Xiaomi Mi 4c.
Note: The ROM is still in development phase. User may face unexpected bugs and force close issues.
- TWRP installed Xiaomi Mi 4c. Do not try this on another device.
- Device must be rooted.
- Enabled USB debugging. To do this Go to Settings->Developer options
- At least 70% charged phone.
Note: Take full back-up before you proceed. Flashing custom ROM may void your warranty. Xiaomi Ninja is not responsible for any kind of damage.
Here is the step by step guideline to install Android Nougat on Mi 4c:
Step 1: Firstly you need to download the ROM. Click here to download the ROM.
Step 2: Download suitable GAAPS for your device. Click here to download GAAPS.
Step 3: Put the above downloaded file into device SD card storage.
Step 4: Now boot the device into TWRP recovery mode. To do this press volume down and power button at the same time.
Step 5: Perform a factory reset. To do this go to Wipe->Advanced Wipe->Select Wipe Cache, Dalvik System Cache and data. Then Swipe to confirm the action.
Step 6: Return to recovery main menu window and click on “Install”. Now navigate to the downloaded ROM file and swipe to confirm the flashing process. Do the same flash process for GAAPS.
Step 7: Wipe Cache and Dalvik Cache again from the recovery main menu again and reboot your device.
Now you have successfully installed Android Nougat AOSP ROM on Xiaomi Mi 4c. Enjoy!
