The ratings are in. Xiaomi is now the reigning champion for smartphone sales in China, with Huawei coming in second, and Apple falling to third.

Quarterly estimates from March 2015 – June 2015 show that Xiaomi has the top spot at 15.9 percent of the Chinese market share.

Huawei was right behind, pulling in 15.7 percent.

It seems Chinese consumers are buying more phones from homegrown vendors such as Xiaomi, Huawei and Lenovo.

Many of their phones are cheaper than an Apple and Samsung rivals, but pack all the technology.
