Xiaomi is all set to launch MIUI 7, and possibly the Redmi Note 2 on August 13, but there may be another trick up their sleeve.
A device called the Redmi 2 Prime has popped up on Amazon India and Flipkart.
According to the leaked posting, the Redmi 2 Prime will come with 2 GB of RAM and 16 GB of storage space.
It will have a 4.7-inch 720p display, an 8-megapixel back camera with LED flash and a 2-megapixel selfie cam. It is also expected to have a Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 processor clocked at 1.2 GHz and a 2,200 mAh battery.
The device appears to have Android 4.4.4 KitKat running with MIUI 6, which is interesting since MIUI should be coming out the same day.
According to Flipkart, the Redmi 2 Prime will cost RS 6,618, or about US$104.
The rumor’s are flying, but we won’t know exactly what the details are until the event on August 13.
