Xiaomi today announced the 799 RMB ($125) Redmi Note 2, and the 999 RMB ($155) Redmi Note 2 Prime.
Like the Oneplus One, the Redmi Note 2 has a 5.5in screen, and 1080p resolution.
It has a 13-megapixel f/2.2 main camera for those sweeping shots, and a 5-megapixel selfie shooter with impressive f/2.0 aperture and large 1.4um pixels.
Unexpectedly, Xiaomi added an infrared sensor to the top of the phone for you to control your TV, Hi-Fi and other appliances with.
I am excited to see if MUIU 7 has any Smart Home application directly linked to the new IR blasters.
The body? Really looks like the Mi 4i.
Under the hood it’s got a 2GB of LPDDR3 RAM, a swappable 3,060 mAh battery, dual Micro SIM slots, 16GB or 32GB of internal storage options with and up to 32GB of microSD expansion.
No NFC, though.
