Xiaomi is planning to ramp up its India sales using its own ecommerce site, mi.com, a Xiaomi executive said.
“Xiaomi is keen to sell more products in India through Mi.com and grow its ecommerce business,” said Manu Jain, India head of operations.
Jain added that Xiaomi currently doesn’t have plans to cut back on its partnerships with Indian retailers like Flipkart, Amazon, and Snapdeal.
Xiaomi will, according to Jain, “scale up Mi.com without artificially constraining sales through partner sites like Flipkart, Amazon and Snapdeal.”
The company disclosed that over 90% of Xiaomi products sold in India are sold online.
