At a company announcement today, Xiaomi launched a new $315 Ninebot scooter.
This is the first new product launched by Ninebot since it acquired Segway in April. Ninebot is also a Xiaomi portfolio company.
The new device, called the Ninebot Mini, doesn’t have a handle, but instead steers by detecting movements from riders’ legs.
Riders can also control the “hoverboard” through an app.
According to Ninebot the scooter can travel 22 kilometers on a single charge at speeds of up to 16 kilometers per hour.
The device can also handle slopes of up to 15 degree.
