It’s official, Xiaomi has opened up a store in Jakarta, Indonesia.
Indonesia has always been a very important market to Xiaomi, and they have furthered their investment in the country by opening the first Mi Concept Store in Pondok Indah.
Hugo Barra, VP of International, posted on his Facebook page:
“Last Friday was a huge day for Indonesian Mi fans at the opening of the very first Mi Concept Store in Pondok Indah—it’s a space for everyone to check out our products, accessories, and get a sneak peek of stuff that haven’t been released yet in international markets. It’s also a community zone for fans to use for meetups and to geek out on all things Xiaomi.
The turnout at the launch was INSANE! Mi fan clubs from Jakarta, Bogor, Depok, Tangerang, Bekasi, and Bandung traveled all the way to Jakarta, including Indonesia’s youngest serial MIUI modder, ten-year-old Reihan.
Thank you so much for the amazing support (I hope my Bahasa was legit enough for you), and I can’t wait to hang out with you guys there soon in person. Ini rumah kita, terima kasih banget ya Mi Fans!”
