Xiaomi has launched Mi Robot Vacuum Cleaner today in China. The Mi Robot Vacuum Cleaner is the next artificial intelligence product from the company.
The smart home cleaner is priced at RMB 1699 and will go on sale on 6 September for the first time in China.
The Mi Robot Vacuum uses 12 different sensors including ultrasonic radar sensor, cliff sensor, gyroscope and accelerometer to interact with the circumstances.
The Laser Distance Sensor (LDS) sensors enable the cleaner to perform 360 degrees scanning 1800 times/second. Xiaomi claimed Mi Vacuum LDS sensor is similar to laser guiding systems on self-driving cars.
It uses ultra-quiet Nidec brushless DC motor which can produce up to 1800Pa air pressure. The Mi Robot is able to calculate the optimized cleaning paths using simultaneous Localization and Mapping (SLAM) algorithm.
The AI cleaner carries powerful 5200mAh battery which can perform up to 2.5h cleaning in a single change. Users can controls, real-time monitoring, and set cleaning schedules via Mi Home app directly from the phone.
