Xiaomi may be working on a new Xiaomi Meri, aka the Mi 5c, Which is scheduled to be launched in China on December 12, 2016.
Famous Chinese tipster KJuma has unveiled the photos, specifications, and the price of the upcoming smartphone on Weibo.
The Meri is expected to be powered by Xiaomi’s in-house Pine Cone processor. It’ll be the Xiaomi’s first device shipped with the in-house processor.
According to reports, Xiaomi has been developing its in-house processor for a long some time. Pine Cone has a lot of competition, with Huawei’s Kirin and Samsung Exynos chipsets.
The device will be powered by 1.4GHz octa-core processor along with 3GB of RAM and Mali-T860 GPU.
Its rumored to feature a 5.5-inch (1080×1920 pixels) full-HD display and will run on Android Marshmallow-based MIUI 8 out of the box.
Xiaomi Meri aka may be launched in Rose Gold, Gold, and Black color.
It is expected to be priced at CNY 1,499 (roughly Rs. 14,800).
