Xiaomi’s Global Vice President Hugo Barra has confirmed his exit the company.
Hugo Barra will leave the company in February and he’ll return to his previous workplace Silicon Valley.
He has confirmed his retirement from the company via long Facebook post. He wrote-
“But what I’ve realized is that the last few years of living in such a singular environment have taken a huge toll on my life and started affecting my health. My friends, what I consider to be my home, and my life are back in Silicon Valley, which is also much closer to my family. Seeing how much I’ve left behind these past few years, it is clear to me that the time has come to return.”
Earlier Hugo had joined Xiaomi in August 2013. Previously he was worked for Google as Vice President of Google.
Xiaomi has spread footprint across 20 countries during the tenure of Hugo Barra.
Xiaomi has also gained extreme popularity in India and also teamed up with Google during his three-and-a-half-year period.
Meanwhile, Xiaomi has already announced that senior VP, Xiang Wang will lead the international arm of the company.
