The new Mi 5c has Xiaomi’s in-house Surge S1 SoC

Xiaomi has officially launched long rumored Mi 5c with companies in-house Surge S1 SoC.

Xiaomi’s becomes the fourth smartphone manufacturers who’ve launched their phone with in-house processor following Samsung, Apple, and Huawei.

The Mi 5c houses 2.2GHz quad-core A53 + 1.4GHz quad-core A53 octa-core 64-bit Surge S1 processor.

The device sports 5.15-inch HD display with 550-nit brightness.

The device features 2048 brightness levels with ultra-precise backlight controls based on the environment.

The Xiaomi Mi 5c feature a premium metal body weighs 133gm and 7.09mm thin.

The device is powered by 3GB dual-channel LPDDR3 RAM and 64GB of internal storage.

It also carries a 1.25-micron pixel size ultra-light-sensitive 12MP camera along with an 8MP front facing shooter.

The device is backed by 2860mAh battery support fast charging. It also houses a front fingerprint sensor.

The Xiaomi Mi 5c is priced at CNY 1,499 (Rs. 14555) and will go on sale from March 3 in China with Rose Gold, Gold, and Black color options.
