Xiaomi official has confirmed that the Mi 6 won’t launch in the US and Europe market.
Xiaomi Vice President Wang Xiang has said that the company has no plans to enter the US and the European market anytime soon.
He also shares his view in an interview with Engadget that, Xiaomi’s main focus is currently on 30 countries they already served.
Xiaomi is likely to avoid rigorous testing required for a US launch to ensure compatibility issues with all carriers.
He also shared that Xiaomi is readying for the US market and it is supposed to launch its first Smartphone in 2019.
“We are in no hurry to serve the developed markets,” Xiang said.
Xiaomi has is a mainstream brand in many countries including India, Ukraine, Indonesia, and Myanmar. The company aims to keep the momentum in these countries.
Xiang also said that-“There’s a Chinese saying: Haste makes waste. You need to focus with patience and wait for the perfect opportunity.”
However, Xiaomi has already unveiled non-Smartphone products like power bank, audio accessories, Mi Box and more.
