Before you proceed:
- Your bootloader should be unlocked
- TWRP recovery installed
- At leas 60% charge
Here is the step by step guide to install MIUI 8 on OnePlus 3T:
Step 1: First you need to download the files. The ROM Zip file, Google apps installer and finally bloatware removal.

Step 2: Boot up your device in TWRP recovery mode. To boot into recovery press Volume down and power key at the same time.
Step 3: After booting into recovery tap on “Wipe” and swipe the blue button to the right to wipe the system partition and cache.
Step 4: Now go back and click on “Install” and navigate to ROM Zip file and select it. Swipe blue button to the right to begin the process. It will take up to 8-10 minutes the complete whole process.

Step 5: When the flashing process complete, go back and click on “Install” again. Now navigate to the bloat-ware file and choose it. Swipe the blue button right to complete flashing. it’ll remove all the bloatware from MIUI ROM.
Step 6: After flashing these two files reboot your device. While rebooting it may ask for a password. If it asks for a password, reboot your device into recovery again. Now Click on “Wipe” and reboot your device again.
Step 7: After rebooting your device you will there no Google apps installed on your device. Go to file manager and install the Google apps installer and follow the on-screen guideline to get all Google apps.
