According to several leaks and rumors spotted online, Xiaomi Mi 6c is going to launch with Surge S2 SoC and dual camera setup.
The Surge S2 is in massive production and it may come with Mi 6c at the fourth quarter of this year.
The upcoming Surge S2 chipset will be an octa core processor configured as four Cortex-A73 and four Cortex-A53 cores in an octa-core arrangement.
The large cores are capable of running at a clock frequency of 2.2GHz while the small cores have a maximum clock frequency of 1.8GHz.
The Surge S2 is said to be manufactured with the 16nmTSMC process and it also supposed to house Mali G71MP8 GPU and supports UFS 2.1 flash memory and LPDDR4 RAM.
The upcoming processor is said to be similar like Kirin 960 chipset.
In terms of Xiaomi Mi 6c, it will house the latest Surge S2 processor.
The upcoming device is rumored to come in two storage versions- the first one with 4GB RAM and 64GB ROM and the second one with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of ROM.
In terms of camera, it may come with dual camera setup at the rear with the configuration given as a 12MP Sony IMX386 main CMOS sensor and a 5MP depth of field secondary shooter.
The 4GB+64GB version may price at CNY 1999(~$299) and the 6GB+129GB version may price at CNY 2499(~$370).
