Xiaomi has officially confirmed the launch date of RedmiNote 5A. The device will be launched in China on August 21, 2017, at 7:30 PM (GMT+8).
The launch date revealed just a few days after the device was spotted on Chinese certification site TENNA.
The Redmi Note 5A will be the successor of Redmi 4A which was launched back in November last year.
According to the listing, the alleged Redmi Note 5A sports a 5.5-inches display which is larger than its predecessor which was launch with 5-inches display.
It also suggests that the device will house 1.4 GHz SoC which is supposed to be a Snapdragon 425. The listed variant shows it will be powered by 2GB of RAM and 16GB of inbuilt storage.

The base variant may sport 13MP rear camera along with 5MP selfie camera.
The device also may come with another variant with Snapdragon 430 SoC, 3 GB of RAM and 32 GB of storage. This variant may sport 16MP rear camera and 13MP front camera for taking selfies.
Both variants will carry fingerprint sensor at the rear panel and the device is supposed to be backed by a 3,000mAh battery.
The upcoming Redmi Note 5A is supposed to run on Android Nougat 7.1.1 based MIUI 8 out of the box.
The 2GB+16GB version may price at CNY 999(~$149) and the 3GB+32GB version may price at CNY 1199 (~$179).
