The Samsung Galaxy S8+ has launched back in March in this year and the Mi Mix 2 has launched last month. The Mi Mix 2 is also going to launch in India tomorrow.
The Samsung Galaxy S8+ carries Octa-core (4×2.35 GHz Kryo & 4×1.9 GHz Kryo) Qualcomm MSM8998 Snapdragon 835 in USA China. The SoC is coupled with Adreno 540 GPU.
In terms of other markets, it houses Octa-core (4×2.3 GHz & 4×1.7 GHz) Exynos 8895 Octa SoC along with Mali-G71 MP20.
Meanwhile, the Mi Mix 2 houses Octa-core (4×2.45 GHz Kryo & 4×1.9 GHz Kryo) Qualcomm MSM8998 Snapdragon 835 coupled with Adreno 540 GPU.

The differences in SoC section are slight. The S8+ is running on Android 7.0 Nougat ROM and the Mi Mix 2 is running on Android Nougat 7.1 based MIUI 9 ROM.
In terms of variants, the S8+ comes with 4GB+64GB and 6GB+128GB version. On the contrary, the Mi Mix 2 comes with 6GB+ 64/128/256GB storage. The special version of Mi Mix 2 carries 8GB of RAM and 128GB of RAM.
