Xiaomi has partnered with Big Bazar supermarket chain to expand offline sales. Xiaomi and Fortune Group have announced the news today.
Initially, Xiaomi will sell Redmi 4 and Redmi Note 4 via more than 240 stores of Big Bazaar.
Xiaomi Global VP and India head Manu Jain have tweeted that, this is the first time any brand is selling phones at a supermarket chain.
Three years ago when Xiaomi enters into the Indian market used to sell devices online. Later the company is aggressively expanding its offline outreach.
The company is setting Mi Home in different Indian city as an expansion plan. Moreover, the company is selling exclusively on Amazon India and Flipkart as well.
Previously Xiaomi has knocked ties with Croma, Vijay Sales, and Sangeetha to extend the reach of the company’s products in the offline market.
Analyst suggests that the company is now focusing on offline sales aside online sale to compete with Oppo and Huawei.
Xiaomi has said that their plan is to set up more than 1,500 retail stores in 30 cities by the end of the year.
