Xiaomi has launched a new series in India. The new is named as Redmi Y1. The Redmi Yi comes in two models and three storage versions.
Coming to the model, two models are Redmi Y1 and Redmi Y1 Lite. The Redmi Y1 comes in two storage version and Redmi Yi Lite comes in single storage version.
The Redmi Y1 is the superior version; the first storage version houses 3GB RAM and 32GB internal storage and the second storage version houses 4GB RAM and 64GB internal storage.
Redmi Y1 is powered by 1.4 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 435 octa-core 64-bit processor, paired with Adreno 505 GPU.
The main highlight of Redmi Yi is its 16MP selfie centric camera at the front. The selfie camera is coupled with selfie LED flash to take smooth pictures in low light condition.
It also houses 13MP front-facing camera with PDAF along with a fingerprint sensor at the back.
It sports 5.5-inches full HD display with 2.5D glass and comes with Corning Gorilla glass protector.
The 3GB+32GB variant of Redmi Y1 is priced at Rs. 8,999 and the 4GB+64GB variant is priced at Rs. 10,999.
Coming to the Redmi Y1 Lite it carries Qualcomm Snapdragon 425 processor and comes with 2GB of RAM along with 16GB of internal storage.
The Lite version also sports a 5.5-inches HD display along with Corning Gorilla Glass protector.
The Redmi Y1 Lite carries a 13MP rear camera. The front camera info is not available yet. The Redmi Y1 Lite is priced at Rs. 6,999.
Both devices will be running on Android Nougat 7.1.2 based MIUI 9 out of the box. Both devices come with dual SIM slot along with an extra microSD card slot.
Both devices will be up for sale on November 8 via Amazon India and Mi.com. These two will be available offline at a later date.
