Qualcomm has unveiled Snapdragon 845 SoC during the Snapdragon Tech Summit event in Hawaii.
During the tech summit, Xiaomi CEO Lei Jun took to the stage and he has confirmed that the upcoming flagship from Xiaomi will be powered by Snapdragon 845 SoC.
Though Xiaomi CEO hasn’t revealed the name of the upcoming flagship it is speculated that the upcoming flagship will be Mi 7.
Previously Xiaomi and Qualcomm were reported to working collaboratively on optimizing Snapdragon 845.
According to initial reports and analysis, Samsung Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9+ are supposed to launch with SD 845. The Mi 7 could be the first device to feature Snapdragon 845 in China.
The Mi 7 is supposed to be the first device from the company to feature wireless charging technology.
The Mi 7 is supposed to come with the same foundation as Apple for wireless charging and it may houses same Broadcom chip and NXP transmitter that enables wireless charging.
The Mi 7 is rumored to sports a 6-inch AMOLED screen by Samsung. As the powerhouse, the phone may house Snapdragon 845 SoC along with 6GB of RAM.
In terms of camera, it may feature a pair of f/1.7 aperture 16-megapixel rear-facing camera sensors. The front-facing info is not available yet.
There is no word from Xiaomi yet about the production and specs of Mi 7. Xiaomi Ninja will post all updates regarding Mi 7.
