Xiaomi launches Redmi 5A in Indonesia for Rp. 999.000

Xiaomi has launched Redmi 5A in Indonesia. The device was initially launched in China a few montha ago and in India recently.

Though the Redmi 5A was initially launched in two variants, but it is only available in a single variant in Indonesia. The Redmi 5A launched in 2GB of RAM and 16GB of expandable internal storage.

The main difference is the newly launched Redmi 5A features an ultra-light all-metal body over its predecessor. All other design aspects are almost same.

The Redmi 5A sports a 5-inch display with HD resolution of 1280 x 720p.

The device houses a Quad-core Snapdragon 425 chipset clocked at 1.2GHz.

It features a 13MP rear camera that supports PDAF and LED flash along with a 5MP shooter. The device will be backed by a 3,000mAh battery which is slightly lower than Redmi 4A (3,120mAh).

The device will run on Nougat based MIUI 9 ROM. It also carries hybrid dual SIM slot. It also provides support for external microSD up-to 128GB.

For connectivity purpose, it supports 4G LTE, 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and much more. The color options are Champagne Gold, Pink and Grey.

The device will be for sale from 27th December via Erajaya Retail Group as well as Xiaomi‘s official online store. The device is currently priced at Rp. 99.000(~$74).
