Xiaomi Mi A1 is undoubtedly one of the best wallet-friendly mid-range smartphones. The devices come with stock Android instead of MIUI interface.
Xiaomi has promised to roll out a continuous Android update for Mi A1. The device has been confirmed to receive Android P update as well.
Xiaomi is rolling out Android Nougat 8.0 Beta update to select users before making it public. The beta testers have received some nice updates though the beta rolls out.
According to the beta testers, the Oreo Beta update comes with quick charging support to the A1. It has not been confirmed whether the current Mi A1 charger will work or consumers have to buy a new charger to take advantage of the quick charging feature.
Aside from the quick charging feature the update also introduces some key Oreo highlights like redesigned Settings app, adaptive icons, Picture-in-Picture, and the Autofill API.
Beta testers have also reported that they are getting fast app loading and smooth animations with the latest update.
Android Oreo 8.0 based public ROM is supposed to hit all Mi A1 within one or two weeks.
