Xiaomi officials have confirmed that the upcoming flagship Mi 7 will be equipped with wireless charging technology.
The company has also stated that the US-based “Integrated Device Technology” will provide the wireless charging modules.
Integrated Device Technology (IDT) supplies various wireless charging modules ranges from 3-watt single direction to 15-watt dual-direction. Xiaomi has not confirmed the exact module to be used in Mi 7.
Xiaomi had joined Wireless Power Consortium a few months ago and it was suggested that the Mi 7 will be the first device to support wireless charging.
In terms of the powerhouse, it also confirmed that the Mi 7 will be powered by latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 SoC.
The device may sport 5.65-inch bezel-less AMOLED display with 18:8 aspect ratios with a resolution of 2560*1440 pixels.
It is supposed to come with metal and glass build along with Gorilla Glass 5 protection on top.
Meanwhile, the Mi 7 Plus may sports 6-inches full HD display with same metal and glass build along with Gorilla Glass 5 protection on top.
The latest rumors suggest that the device will come with the dual rear 19MP+19MP camera along with IMX380 and IMX350 sensors.
In terms of price, Mi 7 may price at CNY 2699 ($~408) for the base variant while the Plus variant may price around CNY 2,999 (~$453).
